One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus: Book Review

Rating: 4/5

Read: July 28th, 2017

This was one of my most anticipated releases of this year, and I really enjoyed it!

It look about 40ish pages to really get what was going on in the book, and to connect with the characters (because it was a little overwhelming at first with the amount of characters, and how different each one was).

This was really great, nothing hugely incredible, but definitely not a disappointment!

After I got over my initial omg there are so many characters! feels, I really really loved them! I greatly connected to them, and was able to truly be in each characters head space, depending on whose chapter/part it was.

The plot was less intense than I expected, probably because Sara Shepard books have just set the intensity bar so high for me with these types of books.
Anyway, I found myself not minding that though, because I really enjoyed seeing into the different characters lives, as well as how they all interacted with each other.
I had my one person I suspected to be the murderer, and I was right to a point, which made the reveal not as shocking to me as I would’ve liked. *curse my detective skills*

This was a fantastic read! I definitely recommend it if you don’t mind something that isn’t tooooo fast paced murder related for a murder mystery, and greatly character driven!
