This was a collection of novellas, making it a little difficult to properly review it, so I’m just going to ramble about my thoughts until I have none left. Totally in-cohesively, sorry!
After binge reading the ToG series, and then reading other books, it was great to be back in Celaena’s head!
It was so interesting to finally be able to read about Sam! Considering how much he was mentioned in the ToG series, it was so exciting to actually see what he was like as a character, and how his and Celeana’s relationship came about.
Although a little laggy/boring-ish at times, I really enjoyed these stories!
This book is definitely worth reading if you’ve enjoyed/thinking of reading the ToG series. It gives fantastic depth and insight into what happened in Celeana’s past, and why she is the way she is in the actual series.
This review is so short, I’m sorry but this is all I really have to say!
